Calling all AVSC Nordic parents, athletes, friends and family: Spring Gulch needs us this weekend!
This Saturday, September 12th at 1PM will be the annual Spring Gulch Trail Work Day. Do not miss this opportunity to help maintain and improve our treasured Spring Gulch skiing experience. All ages are welcome but kids under 12 should be accompanied by an adult. We will be seeding trail and spreading hay on newly graded trails, cutting branches and clearing debris. Bring loppers if you have them, rain coats and work gloves.
This trail day happens about one time per year. It is very important for us to be a part of it. The trails that we love and use regularly would not exist without community support and trail work is the best way for kids to be involved. It is also a great chance to get to know parents, coaches and other Roaring Fork Valley Nordic supporters. Think of the advantage you will have in foxes and hounds when they get to see all the new trail improvements in September. College bound skiers can definitely use this work day as volunteer experience on their resume.
We hope to see you there!
